Biography

Dr. Te-Chuan Chiu is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan. Before that, he has served as a postdoctoral research scholar at the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI), Academia Sinica, Taiwan, in 2018-2022. He has been a research scholar of the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU), USA, in 2016-2017, and also a research scholar of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, Davis (UCD), USA, in 2022. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan. His primary research interests include B5G/6G communications, edge intelligence/AI, fog/edge computing, and AIoT.

Dr. Chiu was a recipient of the Graduate Students Study Abroad Program from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in 2015 and the best master/Ph.D. thesis/dissertation award from the Institute of Information & Computing Machinery (IICM) in 2012 and 2018, respectively. He was elected as the Outstanding Youth of the National Taiwan University (NTU) and the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society Member of the Republic of China in 2018. He has won 2021 Academia Sinica Postdoctoral Research Associate on behalf of CITI. Recently, he has earned 2024 Taiwan Association of Cloud Computing (TACC) Distinguished Young Scholar and Best Journal Paper Award, National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) EECS Junior Researcher Award, and 2022 Pan Wen-Yuan Exploration Research Award.
